Novas Software has an immediate opening for a Sr. CAE
The CAE position is the key technical contact between Novas and its major semiconductor/ASIC customers.
Working alongside other CAEs on the team, each CAE works with these key customers to introduce new Novas products, help integrate them into the established and future designs flows, and assure on-going product qualification and support from these customers.
The CAE is responsible for a detailed understanding of all facets of current external and internal design flows and future flow changes that will be driven by business and technical changes. Using this knowledge, the CAE identifies opportunities for flow improvements utilizing Novas products.
The CAE also acts as the customers' advocate within Novas to assure appropriate and timely bug fixes, feature additions, and the development of new products that address the customer's needs.
Because of the focus on flows and methodology, the CAE is required to deal with multiple technical groups within the customer's organization and across most Novas product lines.
The job duties include but are not limited to:
- Technical customer support via the Hotline, Email, and Web, ensuring resolution, closure and a very high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical support to Field Application Engineers including technical backup, manage design flow problems, support on development tool and programming issues, and assistance with the integration of Intellectual Property (IP).
- Generate technical documents associated with new product release and application notes; evaluate new and competing architectures; and generate reference designs to ensure the success of customers with key applications.
- Consult on new products.
