SIloti Visibility Enhancement Product Continues to Garner Industry Recognition
for Innovation in Chip Verification
San Jose, Calif., February 14, 2007 — Novas Software, Inc., the leader in debug and visibility enhancement solutions for complex chip designs, today announced that its SilotiÔ Visibility Enhancement (VE) software has been selected from a field of hundreds as a finalist for the 2006 EDN Innovator/Innovation Awards. This exclusive awards program honors the people, products and technologies that have shaped the semiconductor industry over the past year. Novas’ Siloti VE product was selected as a Innovation Award finalist in the IC Front-End Design and Verification category, and was also featured in EDN Magazine’s “Hot 100 Products of 2006”.
Introduced to the market in March of 2006, the Novas Siloti VE product transforms verification methodologies by eliminating the overhead associated with dumping data for all the signals in a design. This patent-pending technology provides full visibility of internal signals by identifying the minimal set of signals for dumping, generating “on-demand” cycle-accurate data for the remaining signals, and correlating gate-level results to the register transfer level (RTL) source code. Used during full-chip simulation, emulation and first-silicon prototyping, Siloti VE increases design visibility by approximately 5X and cuts debug cycles by as much as 4X, while also reducing the size of simulation dump files by 50 percent.
Novas’ Siloti VE has been recognized for innovation in chip verification by several other prestigious industry organizations and global media outlets. These include selection as DesignVision Award Finalist by the International Engineering Consortium (IEC), “2007 Best in Test” Honorable Mention by Test & Measurement World Magazine, and product of the year by Electronique Magazine.
EDN Innovator/Innovation of the Year
EDN’s worldwide audience of electronics engineers and engineering managers will choose the ultimate winners of the 2006 Innovator/Innovation of the Year Awards through an online ballot. Voting takes place between February 2nd and February 28, 2007. EDN’s editorial staff and Editorial Advisory Board also take part in determining final winners. Voters are encouraged to review the Siloti VE nomination by visiting www.edn.com/innovation. All finalists will be honored and winning products announced at a black-tie ceremony on April 2, 2007 in San Jose.
